For Undergraduate Students

The Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program (UROP) creates research partnerships between undergraduate students and University of Michigan researchers. All schools and colleges are active participants in UROP, which provides a wealth of interesting research topics for program participants. LSI faculty frequently take UROP students.

For Graduate Students

The U-M Program in Biomedical Sciences is designed to offer students maximum flexibility, with the opportunity to rotate with more than 500 faculty — including faculty at the LSI. At the end of the first year, PIBS students choose a permanent program and will continue to be funded through defense and graduation.

For Postdoctoral Fellows

The LSI is a participant in the U-M College of Literature, Science, and the Arts Collegiate Fellows program. The program is a major initiative aimed at promoting an inclusive scholarly environment, recruiting and retaining exceptional early career scholars, and supporting outstanding scholars committed to building a diverse, equitable, and inclusive intellectual community. The program is administered by the National Center for Institutional Diversity at the University of Michigan.
