Building an Inclusive Climate at the LSI

LSI Library
Audience This is an internal LSI event.
Though many universities aspire to cultivate a climate that is welcoming to the members of their diverse student, faculty and staff bodies, we know that the lived experiences of many in our communities don't always align with these aspirations. In this workshop, participants will think together about the many forces that shape campus climate and ways in which graduate students and postdocs can contribute to a welcoming lab climate for the diverse range of people in LSI spaces. Specifically, participants will develop their skills for preventing, identifying, and responding to identity-based microaggressions in their LSI teaching and learning spaces.

Lunch will be served.

Please note: This is a repeat of the workshop held in June 2018. You are welcome to attend again if you attended the workshop last year.
