Gestwicki named AAAS Fellow

The American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) has elected Life Sciences Institute faculty meJason Gestwickimber Jason Gestwicki to the rank of AAAS Fellow. Gestwicki is an associate professor of pathology and of biological chemistry and the director of the Center for Chemical Genomics at the LSI.

Gestwicki is the ninth current institute member to be named an AAAS Fellow; David Ginsburg, Dan Klionsky, Rowena Matthews, Alan Saltiel, David Sherman, Janet Smith, Lois Weisman and Stephen Weiss were elected in previous years.

Fellows are recognized annually by the AAAS “for meritorious efforts to advance science or its applications.”
