Structural studies of chromatin modifying complexes

ATP-dependent chromatin remodeling in eukaryotes is carried out by large multiprotein complexes that change the relative position of DNA on nucleosomes. In an effort to understand the underlying mechanism in this process we study the yeast RSC complex, an ATP-dependent chromatin remodeler with orthologous complexes in higher eukaryotes and humans. Structural studies of signaling cell surface receptors

Signaling cell surface receptors, such as hormone and cytokine receptors, are key transcriptional regulators implicated in health and disease, and constitute important pharmacological targets. We are interested in studying the architecures of these receptors and the mechanisms they relay extracellular signals to the intracellular space. Read more.
