LSI/Michigan Institute for Clinical and Health Research (MICHR)Translational Research Grants
MICHR and the LSI seek to support translational research in LSI's Center for Chemical Genomics (CCG). Funding is available to support high throughput screening projects using the CCG's chemical, natural product extract collection and RNAi libraries. Of particular interest are projects that encompass novel or innovative targets, biomarkers or platforms that have the potential to increase our understanding of disease at the molecular and cellular levels. Applications related to metabolic disease are especially welcome.
UM/Israeli Universities Partnership for Research
The U-M/Israeli Universities Partnership for Research seeks proposals for innovative and collaborative research projects in the life sciences involving a U-M faculty member and a faculty member at a university in Israel. Support is also available for student and faculty research exchange. Applications related to all areas of the life sciences will be considered, but each proposal must involve a partnership between the U-M and a university in Israel. RFP announced annually in the fall.
LSI/J&J Pharmaceutical Research Division Metabolic Disease Grants
The LSI and Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research and Development (J&JPRD) have begun a collaboration to support research projects in diabetes and obesity. The aim of this joint program is to bring together promising research at the University of Michigan and J&JPRD to accelerate progress in the understanding and treatment of metabolic disease. Currently open only to LSI faculty. RFP announced annually in the winter.
Perrigo Undergraduate Research Fellowship
