Jeanne A. Stuckey, PhD

In addition to supervising the X-ray crystallography lab in LSI that assists researchers all over the UM campus with their structural biology questions, Dr. Stuckey is working on the structure of proteins involved with programmed cell death. She has contributed 26 structures to our understanding of arthritis, cancer, diabetes, and the molecular tool kit of Yersina pestis, the virulent bacterium that causes Plague. Dr. Stuckey is a research assistant professor in Biological Chemistry and Biophysics, and has trained many students and faculty in the protocols of X-ray crystallography.
