Call for Nominations
2006 Pfizer Student Award for Chemistry and Chemical Biology

Tenure-track University of Michigan faculty associated with the Department of Chemistry, the Interdepartmental Program in Medicinal Chemistry and the Center for Chemical Genomics (CCG) are invited to submit nominations in support of outstanding graduate students in the areas of synthetic organic chemistry, medicinal chemistry, chemical biology, and high throughput screening.
Three students (one from each of the participating divisions) will be selected to receive a monetary award of $500 and an invitation to present a 20 minute seminar at Pfizer’s Ann Arbor campus. Recipients must have achieved candidacy and be enrolled in a University of Michigan graduate program. Faculty mentors who have signed user agreements with the CCG are eligible to submit under that division heading. To nominate a student, please submit the student’s name, year in which the student achieved candidacy, curriculum vitae, name and program affiliation(s) of the faculty mentor, and one-page letter of recommendation that describes the student’s intellectual contributions to Jason Gestwicki at gestwick@umich.edu or via campus mail at the Life Sciences Institute, 210 Washtenaw Ave, 48109-2216. Please avoid including proprietary information in the nomination package.
The deadline for nominations is Sept. 1st, 2006. Awards will be announced at the end of September.
