The Life Sciences Institute is comprised of 25 faculty leading more than 400 scientific staff, including more than 150 graduate and undergraduate students.
Two boards, the Scientific Advisory Board and the Leadership Council, comprised of leaders in life sciences and biotechnology business, academia and government, advise and support the Institute.
The LSI is governed by a regentally approved Executive Committee of U-M faculty and administrators that guide LSI planning and strategy.
The director is Alan R. Saltiel. The managing director is Liz Barry.
